Today’s interview is nothing short of special because the protagonist is none other than AMPERYO, the superhero of ZD Electrical Panels, who embodies and communicates the values and characteristics of our company through his presence.
AMPERYO, can you tell us how you were born?
Communicating nowadays can be a challenge, especially in particularly technical fields like that of electrical panels. Certainly, images of products, the company, and those who work there are very important, but why not represent ZD in a more original way?
I believe I was born from this reflection, since the idea was to portray the company profile in a figurative way, from knowledge of the work system and how dynamic and flexible the approach with the customer is, to quality and safety, which are two cornerstones of ZD.
AMPERYO, what is your role?
Telling the world about Zd Quadri Elettrici through my presence is definitely my main role, and I try to do this with my presence, which aims to communicate trust and express seriousness and assurance.
My very name suggests it, as it combines Ampere, the unit of measurement for electric energy, with the pronoun “I”.
Why this choice? Ampère is linked to “Io,” which then became “Yo,” merging Italian with English, “Io” and “You,” to create a name with an international flair, just like the activity of Zd Quadri Elettrici.
The most beautiful part is that the union of these words means that AMPERYO® is me, and it can be everyone!
In me, every person can recognize the desire to think about tomorrow, the mark one can leave in the world to come, the passion and intensity, all characteristics that unite the ZD team and make increasingly targeted and qualitative projects possible, tailored to the needs and desires of the customer.
How would you summarize the values that, as a superhero, you have the task of representing and spreading?
I discussed this at length with Davide Ziggiotto and the team, and we did a great job defining five specific values.
The first is the passion we put into our daily work, as well as the sacrifice that drives us to work with the utmost commitment to offer the highest quality work possible. The third value is service, interpreted as the fact that our electrical panels must “serve,” meaning they must be concretely useful to our customers in their daily work.
Then there is quality, which is essential for us and which we have been able to certify with the ISO 9001:2015 certification, covering the design and construction of electrical panels, as well as the installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems.
The fifth value I represent is attention to social issues and the environment, two fundamental aspects that we promote with ZD through community projects, in contact with people, and through choices that pertain to our daily work.
In fact, I am certain that it is hard to achieve great goals alone, while when we support others and the planet, every goal, even the most ambitious, can be reached in a better way.
Amperyo, where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Usually, these questions are asked to actors or artist, and I’m very pleased that you’ve proposed it to me.
In 10 years’ time, I see myself representing a solid company, strong from having built a robust past characterized by quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
I know these qualities belong to ZD Quadri Elettrici, so my work will continue well beyond the 10 years you mentioned…
Can you talk to us about the topic of safety?
I believe this issue is fundamental: the safety of people is at the centre of every project. However, we needed to demonstrate our commitment in this regard, which is why we undertook a very important and intensive journey to obtain a truly prestigious certification.
This is the Designing for Compliance in Industrial Control Panels, UL 508A (3rd Edition), a specific certification for industrial electrical panels related to the markets of the United States and Canada, which allows us to be included in UL’s global registry.
In addition to opening new horizons in international markets, this certification was obtained following very rigorous training and selection, and after passing strict safety tests and inspections.
And it doesn’t stop here because this certification must be maintained over time, and UL conducts constant checks with on-site inspections to verify that ZD meets the requirements to maintain this prestigious certification.
